RACHEL CALOF: A MEMOIR WITH MUSIC  is a play with songs based on the memoir of Rachel Calof. 

Immigrating from Russia to North Dakota as a mail-order bride in the late 19th century, Rachel surmounts incredible obstacles while raising nine children on the prairie in hope for ownership of free land under the Homestead Act.

 RACHEL CALOF stars Kate Fuglei in a tour de force performance, directed by Ellen S. Pressman. It has been presented around the country. In November, 2015 it was presented in Los Angeles at PICO UNION and in New York at the UNITED SOLO FESTIVAL where it won the festival's award for BEST MUSICAL.

A BINTEL BRIEF-This project is based on "A Bintel Brief" which is a collection of letters to the editor of "The Jewish Daily Forward". This project is still in development.

BEAUTIFUL SOUP-This project is based on Victorian children's literature. It was developed at The Whole Theater-Olympia Dukakis, artistic director and at HOME for Contemporary Theater and Art in New York City.

Drawn from Lewis Carroll, E. Nesbitt and Dickens amongst others, Beautiful Soup takes place in the time from just before the Boer war until the end of World War I. Although set a 100 years ago, the ideas are as present as today's headlines.
